DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Jun. 17 (SMM) – China imported a mere 710,000 tonnes of copper concentrate in May, a staggering 28.94% tumble from April, Shanghai Metals Market learned.
The decline in May’s imports, down 2.66% from a year ago, resulted largely from aggressive term shipments by overseas suppliers in April and growing supply of domestically produced concentrate in May, SMM understood.
YTD imports through May increased 17.3% year-on-year, according to China Customs.
