Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-Earth (Group) Hi-Tech Co., has formed an annual capacity of 15,000 tonnes of stripcast Nd-Fe-B alloys and 5,000 tonnes of Nd-Fe-B magnets.

SHANGHAI, May 29 (SMM) – Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-Earth (Group) Hi-Tech Co., has formed an annual capacity of 15,000 tonnes of stripcast Nd-Fe-B alloys and 5,000 tonnes of Nd-Fe-B magnets, world’s largest of this kind, CCIN.com.cn reported today. 

The project was constructed in two phases. The phase one, coming online in 2009, now is running at full capacity, with monthly output close to 100 tonnes of magnets over the recent two months. Commissioning of the phase two, having completed the testing of equipment, will be determined by market demand, it said.
