NEW YORK (Scrap Register): United States Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced to impose anti-dumping duties (AD) on imports of stainless steel pressure pipe from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries.
The DOC decided to introduce duties as high as 167.1% for the products from Malaysia.
The stainless steel pressure pipes are mainly used in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, beer, transportation and food processing industries.
The import value form the three countries was around US$39.1 million in the US in 2013.
