Japanese Avg H2 Scrap Prices Advance by ¥500 a Ton

Japanese average H2 scrap price has advanced by ¥500 a ton to ¥31,500-32,000 a ton level in late last week.

TOKYO (Scrap Register): Japanese average H2 scrap price has advanced by ¥500 a ton to ¥31,500-32,000 a ton level in late last week.

Nation's H2 scrap prices advanced mainly due to the fact that Tokyo Steel raised its scrap purchasing prices at Utsunomiya region by ¥500 a ton on April 11th.

The average prices of H2 scraps are being prevailing at ¥31,000 a ton in the Tokyo Bay region. The prices of P&S scraps and Shindachi scraps averaged at ¥35,000 a ton.

Sanko Seiko Co. has also hiked its scrap buying price by ¥1,000 a ton.
