North American copper scrap prices see sharp decline

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster) : The North American copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index as on March 10th, Monday.

Alternator prices remained unchanged. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing slipped by $0.05 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also went lower by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery saw a down move of $0.03 per Lb. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices fell by $0.02 per Lb from previous day. #3 Copper-Light copper prices were lower by $0.04 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator saw a decline of $0.02 per Lb.

Copper Transformer scrap, Cu Yokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends price remained unchanged over the day.

Meanwhile, the price of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe were both down by $0.01 per Lb.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices declined by $0.01 per Lb to $0.85 per Lb.

Romex Wire and Heater Cores prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb and $0.01 per Lb respectively on March 10th.

Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no daily variation in prices.
