Spot Aluminum Price Movement in South China (2014-2-7)

SHANGHAI, Feb. 7 (SMM) – SHFE 1402 aluminum contract gapped lower on Friday, and fell further before the afternoon trading hours. In South China, downstream producers were still on the Chinese New Year holiday. Cargo holders mostly stayed on the sidelines, and moved goods in limited amount. Aluminum prices in this area followed SHFE aluminum prices down sharply, and traded mostly between RMB 13,250-13,270/mt, with thin transactions on Friday.
