China's MEP Suspends Environmental Impact Assessment for Jinchuan Group's IPO

China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) has suspended environmental-impact assessment for initial public offering planned by Jinchuan Group Ltd.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 2 (SMM) – China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) has suspended environmental-impact assessment for initial public offering planned by Jinchuan Group Ltd.

The ministry suspended the assessment because Jinchuan violated a series of rules in its production procedures including pollutant discharge and hazardous waste storage, MEP said in a statement on its website dated Nov. 27.
