Last week, China’s rare earth market remained tepid with prices for several products edging lower and suppliers reporting poor orders.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 21 (SMM) – Last week, China’s rare earth market remained tepid with prices for several products edging lower and suppliers reporting poor orders. Trading was thin despite lower quotations. SMM expects rare earth products prices will remain weak for the near term. 

 
Last week, average price was RMB 27,500/mt for lanthanum oxide, RMB 27,000/mt for cerium oxide, RMB 570,000/mt for praseodymium oxide, RMB 352,500/mt for neodymium oxide, RMB 352,500/mt for didymium oxide, RMB 4,900/kg for europium oxide, RMB 2,000/kg for dysprosium oxide, RMB 190,000/mt for gadolinium oxide, RMB 47,000/mt for cerium misch metal, RMB 442,000/mt for praseodymium-neodymium alloy, and RMB 211,000/mt for dysprosium-iron alloy.
