Aluminum prices in south China rose RMB 15/mt to RMB 14,460-14,490/mt on Monday thanks to falling inventories.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 21 (SMM) – Aluminum prices in south China rose RMB 15/mt to RMB 14,460-14,490/mt on Monday thanks to falling inventories. Traders were actively buying out of bullishness toward future prices. Downstream producers, in contrast, mainly purchased as needed against tight liquidity and poor orders.
