DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Oct. 18 (SMM) – Spot aluminum in south China was offered higher at RMB 14,460-14,470/mt early on Friday, as supply was limited and as demand grew. In the afternoon, however, a growing number of suppliers became willing to sell, pushing aluminum prices down to RMB 14,450-14,460/mt. Aluminum stocks in south China began to fall, fueling optimism over future prices. Demand picked up as weekend is drawing near, allowing cargo holders to hold back goods at below RMB 14,450/mt. Overall aluminum prices in the region rose RMB 60/mt to RMB 14,450-14,470/mt.
