North American Copper Scrap Prices recover marginally on index

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster) : The North American Copper Scrap Price saw a marginal uplift after the previous decline on the Scrap Monster Price Index as on 4th October Friday.

The Alternator Price moved up by $ 0.01 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing had a minor uplift by $ 0.03 per Lb at $ 3.13per Lb. The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also went up by $ 0.03 per Lb. An increase by $ 0.03 per Lb was seen in the price of #1 Copper Bare Bright on Oct 4th. When the price of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85 % Recovery climbed up by $ 0.01 per Lb, the price of #2 Copper Wire 50 % Recovery remained unchanged. There was also a rise in price of #Copper – Light Copper by $ 0.02 per Lb over the day.

Copper Radiator scrap price along with the price of Copper Transformer Scrap showed no variation from the previous day index. Other metals like Cu Yokes, Cu/Al Radiators, Harness Wire 35 % Recovery, Heater Cores, Sealed Units etc remained unchanged.

Stainless Steel showed a minor recovery on some of its items. An uplift of $ 0.01 per Lb was reported on various SS items like 201 SS, 301 SS, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning. When 316 SS Solid price rose by $ 0.02 per Lb, the prices of 310 SS and 330 SS improved by $ 0.02 per Lb respectively.
