South China Aluminum: Prices Sank on Tepid Downstream Demand

SHFE 1310 aluminum contract prices inched down, dragging spot aluminum down as well.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 30 (SMM) – SHFE 1310 aluminum contract prices inched down, dragging spot aluminum down as well. Traders in South China were eager to sell, but downstream producers expressed little interest, pulling mainstream traded prices down to RMB 14,520-14,540/mt. Market is expected to turn even quieter tomorrow.
