China Manganese Ore Market Movement (2013-6-28)

SHANGHAI, Jun. 28 (SMM) –
 
Manganese Ore Market: 
Trading of imported manganese ore at ports remained lackluster. SMM survey found that BHP’s quotations to Chinese importers for August are level with July, which will help trim losses of manganese ore prices at ports. 
 
Transactions:
In northern ports, Australian manganese ore gained favor, but there is still room for prices to fall further. 
 
Manganese Alloy Market:
Most alloy producers were in no hurry to sell, despite depressed silicomanganese alloy prices. SMM survey found that alloy stocks at both steel mills and alloy producers are low at the moment, which will lend some support to alloy prices.
