China Manganese Ore Market Movement (2013-6-14)

SHANGHAI, Jun. 14 (SMM) –

Domestic Market:
Trading of imported manganese ore at ports remained lackluster. Preferential electricity prices have been implemented in Yunnan and some other regions, with the exception of Guangxi, Hunan and Guizhou. Manganese alloy producers were little interested in resuming production against high production costs and weak manganese alloy prices. Sales volumes of Brazilian manganese ore (fines) were thin due to supply shortfall. Prices of South African mixed carbonate manganese ore (lump) have been depressed due to high inventories. 

Transactions:
A new batch of Brazilian manganese ore has arrived in northern and southern ports, and trading was brisk.
