China's Home Appliance Industry's Profit up 25.4% in Jan-Apr

The home appliance industry in China saw its gross profit jump 25.4% year on year to RMB 17.02 billion in the first four months of this year.
Jun. 5 - The home appliance industry in China saw its gross profit jump 25.4% year on year to RMB 17.02 billion in the first four months of this year, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
 
The growth rate was 14.55 percentage points higher than that in the same period of 2012.
 
The home appliance industry realized RMB 382.25 billion in core business revenue from January to April, reflecting a growth of 16.5% year on year.
     
The industry's sales-to-output ratio was steady at 96.1% in the period and its export value increased 10.9% year on year to RMB 111.03 billion.
 
The ministry said that the output of household refrigerators, air conditioners and washing machines rose 8.8%, 2.8% and 5.6% year on year in the period, respectively.
