SHFE 1309 zinc contract prices opened flat at RMB 14,575/mt, soaring after opening to break through the 30-day moving average as large numbers of longs rushed to the market.

SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) – SHFE 1309 zinc contract prices opened flat at RMB 14,575/mt, soaring after opening to break through the 30-day moving average as large numbers of longs rushed to the market. Supported by LME zinc prices, SHFE zinc prices fluctuated between RMB 14,630-14,675/mt, once touching USD 14,705/mt. Finally, SHFE three-month zinc contract prices closed at RMB 14,690/mt, down up 115/mt, or 0.79%. Trading volumes increased by 87,472 lots, to 149,140 lots, and total positions increased by 11,306 lots to 170,336 lots.
