Silicon Metal Market Daily Review (2013-5-15)

SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) – Mainstream traded prices for China’s silicon metal held steady at RMB 11,200/mt on May 15. However, most downstream buyers and traders were bearish, as silicon metal producers in Yunnan and Sichuan resume production gradually with power price expected to be lowered in high-water season. Thus, silicon metal transactions were limited, and some producers cut prices for sales promotion.
