SHANGHAI, Apr. 25 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract followed surging copper prices up slightly on Thursday. Downstream producers increased purchases before the Chinese May Day holiday, stimulating cargo holders to hold offers firm at RMB 14,650/mt. Mainstream traded prices in south China were nearly RMB 200/mt higher than in Shanghai. Overall trading should remain enlivened tomorrow.
