SHANGHAI, Mar. 4 (SMM) – SHFE 1305 aluminum contract prices narrowed losses at the tail of trading on Monday, but still dropped RMB 40/mt in the afternoon compared with prices in the morning. Price declines in the most active SHFE aluminum contracts prompted traders in south China to sell, but downstream consumption was sluggish, leaving traded prices at RMB 14,360-14,370/mt. Changes in market fundamentals were limited at the beginning of March, disappointing traders.
