China Manganese Ore Market Movement (2013-1-6)

SMM Insight 08:14:24PM Jan 06, 2013 Source:SMM

SHANGHAI, Oct. 6 (SMM) -- Inquiries from alloy producers increased due to pre-holiday stock replenishment demand, but their price acceptance was low. According to SMM sources, supply of goods at ports was limited, as traders were reluctant to move goods amid low profits. In addition, most alloy producers directly import goods from overseas market, depressing traders importing interest. Most traders feel at loss for future price outlook.

In north market, higher offers of mainstream manganese ore from Australia, Gabon and Brazil reflected tight supply of good in market.

In south market, supply of goods was relatively ample. Offers from selected traders were higher, but traded prices were flat from a day earlier.

Most alloy producers were replenishing stocks for preparation of production in February and March.
