Average Operating Rate at Brass Bar Producers 55.3% in December

SHANGHAI, Dec. 18 (SMM) – SMM's latest survey revealed that the average operating rate at brass bar producers was 55.3% in December, down slightly from the previous month, and mainly contributable to the following factors. First, terminal consumers mostly have been buying brass bar on an as-needed basis since cash flow pressures grow at the year's end. Besides, operating rates at real estate companies have begun marching down with the weather becoming colder, depressing demand of brass bar used in hardware and sanitary fixture products.
