China Manganese Ore Market Movement (2012-11-14)

In China’s manganese ore market, transactions were brisk and traded prices were flat on Wednesday.
SHANGHAI, Nov. 14 (SMM) -- In China’s manganese ore market, transactions were brisk and traded prices were flat on Wednesday. As spot supply was tight, most traders believed that manganese ore prices would rise future in the future. According to SMM sources, trading inventories were limited, and some specification manganese ore even reported no supply. It is expected that tight supply of manganese ore shall continue.
In north ports, offers of mixed carbonate manganese ore advanced to RMB 38/mtu due to tight supply. Traded prices of Australian granule were around RMB 42/mtu and may advance further in the following week. In south ports, although some manganese ore arrived at ports, supply was still tight. In this context, traders’ willingness to hike offers will be relatively high.
