Chinese stocks opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,066.5, down 5.01 points, or 0.24 percent, from the previous close.

BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,066.5, down 5.01 points, or 0.24 percent, from the previous close.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.18 percent lower at 8,384.07.
