Jul 24, 2012 (Dow Jones) SYDNEY--Australia's OZ Minerals Ltd. (OZL.AU) said copper and gold production at its Prominent Hill mine was on track to meet full-year guidance despite slightly softer output in the April-to-June quarter.

The company reported copper production of 25,521 metric tons in the quarter, down from 27,182 tons in the three months prior. Gold production was at 34,475 troy ounces, down from 38,887 ounces in the previous quarter due to lower grades and a lesser amount of gold being extracted from the ore, Melbourne-based OZ Minerals said.

The company said it expected to meet full-year guidance, with copper output seen coming in at the lower end of the 100,000-110,000-ton range, and gold within the band of 130,000-150,000 ounces.
