SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Jul 16-20)

SHANGHAI, Jul. 17 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western were USD 5,000-5,050/mt last week, down a slight USD 50/mt from the prior week. Mainstream offers were down to RMB 38,800-39,000/mt on China's domestic markets. Profits on imported brass held stable near RMB 1,000/mt last week, but most brass importers continued sourcing to order out of uncertainties in the direction of future copper price trends.
