SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Jun. 25-29)

Price Review & Forecast 09:49:16AM Jul 04, 2012 Source:SMM

SHANGHAI, Jul. 4 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western were USD 5,000/mt last week, down USD 50/mt from the prior week. Mainstream offers were RMB 38,800-39,200/mt on China's domestic markets, also down marginally from the previous week's levels. As brass traders mostly bought on an as-needed basis out of fears that copper prices will soften further, SMM anticipates brass inventories will remain stable for the foreseeable future.
