ArcelorMittal’s Ukraine Unit Says Steel Output Rose 8.4% in May

ArcelorMittal (MT)’s Ukrainian unit said steel output rose by 8.35 percent in May from the same month a year earlier.

ArcelorMittal (MT)’s Ukrainian unit said steel output rose by 8.35 percent in May from the same month a year earlier. The company did not give a reason for the increase.

Output rose to 502,000 metric tons from 463,300 tons, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, based in the city with that name, said in an e-mailed statement today. Pig iron output rose to 443,000 tons from 396,300 tons, the company said.
