SMM Morning Review - 2012/6/7 Zinc Market

LME zinc prices opened at USD 1,875/mt during Asian trading hours and edged up to move between USD 1,880-1,891/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 7 (SMM) – LME zinc prices opened at USD 1,875/mt during Asian trading hours and edged up to move between USD 1,880-1,891/mt. Central banks said they will release stimulus policies, easing market concerns. As a result, LME zinc prices surged and touched USD 1,905/mt, but gave bank some gains, with prices finally closing at USD 1,893/mt, up USD 5.8/mt.

LME zinc prices should continue to rebound and move between USD 1,880-1,910/mt today, and SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should track LME zinc prices and move between RMB 14,700-14,900/mt today, with spot discounts expanding to RMB 40-90/mt.
