SHANGHAI, Jun. 7 (SMM) – LME lead prices opened at USD 1,893/mt overnight. Since Germany and EU leaders were seeking to aid the indebted Spanish banks, boosting market sentiment, LME lead prices fluctuated up to close at USD 1,922/mt, up USD 19.8/mt. Trading volumes were down 1,579 lots to 3,626 lots, while positions were up 1,177 lots to 125,000 lots. LME lead inventories fell by 2,050 mt to 346,125 mt.
The US dollar index fluctuated down to end at 82.2, and COMEX silver for July delivery closed at USD 29.5/oz, up USD 1.08/oz, or 3.8%.
On Thursday, SHFE lead prices should move between RMB 15,000-15,150/mt, and domestic spot prices are expected to hover between RMB 15,000-15,150/mt.
