Gold Price Closes Higher in Hong Kong

The gold price in Hong Kong moved up 180 HK dollars to close at 14,700 HK dollars per tael on Monday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

HONG KONG, May 28 (Xinhua) -- The gold price in Hong Kong moved up 180 HK dollars to close at 14,700 HK dollars per tael on Monday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to 1,590.14 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 19.47 U.S. dollars at the latest exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.76 HK dollars.
