Shanghai Spot Copper Price Movement on Mar. 23

Discounts on spot copper were quoted between negative RMB 250-180/mt in Shanghai in the morning business.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 23 (SMM) –Discounts on spot copper were quoted between negative RMB 250-180/mt in Shanghai in the morning business. Traded prices for standard-quality copper were between RMB 59,080-59,120/mt, and RMB 59,120-59,200/mt for high-quality copper. SHFE copper prices moved lower after a low open, but showed resilience, so spot copper discounts narrowed. Spot copper supply was stable. Downstream producers and traders were cautious and made modest purchases at lower price levels amid sufficient market supply.
