On Monday, SHFE lead prices followed a weak track, and spot lead price in China’s domestic markets remained unchanged from last Friday.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 12 (SMM) – On Monday, SHFE lead prices followed a weak track, and spot lead price in China’s domestic markets remained unchanged from last Friday. Quotations were fewer as SHFE lead prices were not steady on Monday and market players were cautious. Brands including Yubei and Shuangyan were quoted between RMB 15,800-15,850/mt, and quotations for Shenqian were at RMB 15,750/mt. Transactions remained modest.

Domestic lead-acid battery producers have recently announced output cut plans for the upcoming 2017 Chinese National Day and Mid-Autumn holidays in early October.
