East China Aluminum: Prices Keep Falling with Stronger Resistance

Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 15,870-15,910/mt on Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 7 (SMM) – Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 15,870-15,910/mt on Wednesday, with discounts of RMB 30-70/mt over the SHFE current-month aluminum price. Low-iron aluminum was traded between RMB 15,980-16,000/mt in Shanghai. Traded prices of spot aluminum in Wuxi were between RMB 15,870-15,910/mt. The SHFE current-month aluminum price kept falling, dragging down spot prices, with stronger resistance at the RMB 15,900/mt level. Traders were more willing to move goods over bearish outlook. However, inquiries from downstream buyers and middlemen were sparse, leaving transactions quiet.
