SHANGHAI, Feb. 27 (SMM) – Last Friday, LME lead prices moved between USD 2,150-2,160/mt after opening at USD 2,160/mt during Asian trading hours, and then rose to touch a high of USD 2,400/mt due to the increasing stocks, a new high since November 18, 2011. The US dollar index fluctuated down to 78.22. During European trading hours, LME lead prices fluctuated up to hit USD 2,212/mt and finally closed at USD 2,206/mt, up USD 43/mt or 2%.
The US dollar index dropped to 78.22 and finally closed at 78.43. COMEX 5 month silver closed at USD 35.4/oz, down USD 0.24/oz.
On Monday, SHFE lead prices are expected to move between RMB 15,900-16,200/mt, and domestic spot prices should be between RMB 15,850-16,000/mt.
