DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightFeb. 3 (Bloomberg) –Peru's copper output rose to a record in December on gains at mines operated by Xstrata Plc (XTA) and Cia. Minera Antamina SA, the government said.
Copper production climbed 6.5 percent to 122,642 metric tons from a year earlier, the Energy & Mines Ministry said today in an e-mailed statement. Gold output rose 6.8 percent to 13,714 kilograms as Barrick Gold Corp. (ABX) and Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA increased production. Lead, iron and molybdenum production rose, while silver, zinc, tin and tungsten all fell, the ministry said.
