SHANGHAI, Jan. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1204 aluminum contract prices opened slightly higher at RMB 16,420/mt and then slid to an intraday low of RMB 16,320/mt on Wednesday. In the afternoon, SHFE aluminum prices rallied and regained some earlier losses. Spot prices for aluminum ingots in Nanhai were between RMB 16,070-16,090/mt. With most traders starting their holidays, quotations were rarely reported and transactions became quieter. Traders are expected to resume businesses on January 29.
