SHANGHAI, Jan. 12 (SMM) – On Thursday, few purchases were made by downstream buyers in South China. The brisk transactions early in the week were hardly seen, so aluminum prices in Guangdong showed no resilience to declines, with traded prices for mainstream transactions decreasing to RMB 16,000-16,020/mt. Goods holders were unwilling to sell goods at lower prices due to low self-owned inventories, and held prices at RMB 16,000/mt. In the afternoon, deals were rarely reported in markets.
