125cc Motorbikes Rank 1st in Jan-Oct by Export Volume: CAAM

China exported 3.21 million 125cc motorbikes in the first ten months of this year, 31.47% more than in the corresponding period of 2010.

Nov. 21, 2011 (China Knowledge) - China exported 3.21 million 125cc motorbikes in the first ten months of this year, 31.47% more than in the corresponding period of 2010, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers or CAAM.

The export volume of 150cc motorbikes surged 41.38% year on year to 1.79 million units, of 110cc motorbikes increased 20.21% year on year to 1.12 million units, of 50cc motorbikes soared 36.72% year on year to 1.04 million units and of 100cc motorbikes was up 9.37% year on year to 960,300 units.

The five kinds of motorbikes' export volume totaled 8.13 million units, accounting for 91% of the total.

In October alone, 125cc motorbikes also topped the five types of motorbike by export volume hitting 333,600 units, followed by 150cc motorbikes with 214,900 units, 110cc motorbikes with 121,900 units, 100cc motorbikes with 120,300 units and 50cc motorbikes with 86,800 units.

The five types of motorbikes' export volume accounted for 91% of the total, reaching 877,500 units, CAAM reported.
