Brass Inventories at Copper Rod Producers Remain Low in September

SHANGHAI, Sept. 27 (SMM) –Based on a recent SMM survey of 18 domestic copper rod producers, brass inventories through the first three weeks of September were at a low level. As most copper rod producers have no confidence that copper prices could remain at high levels, they have been maintaining inventories at low levels. Following significant price declines during September, copper rod producers further slowed the purchases of raw materials in a bid to avoid risks, with no intention of building stocks in the short term.
