South African Union Agrees Wage Deal With African Rainbow’s Nkomati Nickel

South Africa’s National Union of Mineworkers said it agreed a one-year deal with Nkomati Nickel Mine.

Sept. 6 (Bloomberg) -- South Africa’s National Union of Mineworkers said it agreed a one-year deal with Nkomati Nickel Mine, a unit of African Rainbow Minerals Ltd. (ARI) that will see wages increase by between 9 percent and 10 percent depending on the pay grade.

"This agreement was concluded after a six-day strike action which ended yesterday," the labor union said in an e- mailed statement today.
