DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSept. 1 (Dow Jones) -- U.S. domestic consumption of primary tin in May was 2,340 metric tons, a slight increase from 2,310 tons in April 2011 and a 16% increase from May 2010, according Wednesday to the U.S. Geological Survey.
For the first 5 months of 2011, U.S. imports of refined tin were 16,500 tons, an increase of 43% from the comparable period of 2010.
Peru, Bolivia, and Indonesia, in descending order, were the leading sources of tin imports in the first five months of 2011.
