China Stocks Close Slightly Down Wednesday

China's stocks closed lower on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26 percent

BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's stocks closed lower on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26 percent, or 6.91 points, to close at 2,601.26.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.58 percent, or 67.13 points, to finish at 11,598.28.
