SHANGHAI, Dec. 24 (CBI China) -- China Customs data show selenium powder imports in November were 45,621 kg, down 28% MoM, down 59% YoY; the total imports from January to November were 1232,985 kg, down 19% YoY.
Sharp decline in selenium powder was mainly due to the reasons as follows, the glass ceramic and other market sentiments remained weak, the refined manganese market fluctuated and the importers avoided risks for the macro-economy was affected by the financial crisis. CBI predicts the imports will remain low in the 50-80 mt range in December.
