Three New Added Capacity Zinc Projects to Come Online During 3Q

SHANGHAI, Aug.8.(CBI China) -- Three new capacity zinc projects scheduled to come online during 3Q are Yuguang Gold and Lead Group's 100kt/yr zinc smelting unit and Shaanxi Dongling Group's 80kt/yr zinc units are scheduled to come online on August 8th. The new units will take the two companies' total capacities to 200kt/yr and 230kt/yr, respectively.  Yunnan Xiangyun Feilong Company's 50kt/yr expansion unit will come online on August 15th, increasing its daily output to 300 mt. 

    Start-up of Zhuzhou Smelter Group's 100kt/yr expansion unit is delayed, originally scheduled to be commissioned in August, and any new commissioning date is unknown.  Shaanxi Zinc Industry Shangluo Smeltery put its new 50kt/yr zinc unit into production during July, but company sources report it will not realize full operating capacity until September or October.  The company's total capacity will reach 100kt/yr after the new plant is online.
