Import Tax Cut and Export Tax Imposed on Aluminum
Dec 7, 2009 13:16SHANGHAI, Jul.20 (CBI China) -- On July 19th the Chinese Ministry of Finance announced an import tax cut for aluminum (customs code 76011090) from 5% to 0%, and a new export tax of 15% on aluminum bars (customs code 76041000). Both policies will take effect on August 1st.
CBI believes this will lead to further supply surplus in China market and wider price spreads between the Chinese and overseas markets
