Dec 21 (Reuters) - The amount of copper held to back the physical copper exchange traded product PHCU.L increased by some 850.50 tonnes to 1,445.50 tonnes according to ETF Securities' website on Dec. 21.
Total holdings in the physical nickel PHNI.L rose by 336 tonnes to around 402 tonnes, while physical tin PHSN.L remained at around 80 tonnes.
The three ETPs were listed on the London Stock Exchange by ETF Securities on December 10. Benchmark copper CMCU3 on the London Metal Exchange soared to an all-time record near $9,400 per tonne on Tuesday.
Nickel CMNI3 closed up $75 at $24,625 a tonne and tin CMSN3 rose $700 to finish at $26,890.
All three are traded in lots on the LME. One lot of copper is 25 tonnes, one lot of nickel is 6 tonnes and one lot of tin is 5 tonnes.
