WBMS: Global Copper Market In 68,000-ton Surplus Jan-Oct

LONDON, Dec 15, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- The global refined copper market recorded a small surplus of 68,000 metric tons during the first 10 months of the year, the World Bureau of Metal Statistics said Wednesday.

This compared with a 164,000-ton surplus in the same period a year before and a 410,000-ton surplus for all of 2009.

Global refined copper consumption from January to October was 15.95 million tons, while global refined copper production was 16.02 million tons, up 3.8% compared with the same period a year before.

LONDON, Dec 15, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- The global refined copper market recorded a small surplus of 68,000 metric tons during the first 10 months of the year, the World Bureau of Metal Statistics said Wednesday.

This compared with a 164,000-ton surplus in the same period a year before and a 410,000-ton surplus for all of 2009.

Global refined copper consumption from January to October was 15.95 million tons, while global refined copper production was 16.02 million tons, up 3.8% compared with the same period a year before.
