U.S. Copper Futures Hold Two-Week Peak After Data

Dec 1 (Reuters) - U.S. copper futures maintained momentum near a two-week peak above $3.90 per lb early Wednesday, buoyed by positive manufacturing and construction spending data that reinforced hopes of an economic recovery.

Copper for March delivery HGH1 on the COMEX metals division of the New York Mercantile Exchange was trading up 8.55 cents, or more than 2 percent, at $3.9110 per lb by 10:08 a.m. EST (1508 GMT), its highest level since Nov. 16.
