BHUBANESWAR, Nov. 18 -- India's National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) (NALU.BO: Quote) sold 10,000 tonnes of primary aluminium ingots at a premium of $87.15 per tonne over the LME cash price on a CIF basis, a company source said on Tuesday.
The buyer was Hong Kong-based Noble Resources, said the official who has direct knowledge of the deal but could not be named due to company policy.
He said there were seven bidders for the tender.
The metal would be supplied to the buyer in five batches. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark for prices, last sold aluminium ingots on Nov. 11 at $86.75 a tonne premium over the LME cash price on a CIF basis, the same source had said.
