EU로 10만 톤을 선적할 경우, 인용된 가정 하에서 추가 탄소 비용은 약 3,000억 동(VND)에 달하며, 이는 주문 금액의 약 20%에 해당한다. 한편, 호아팟은 생산 단지 투자의 약 30%를 환경 개선에 할당하고, ISO 기준에 따라 온실가스 인벤토리를 유지하며 제품 탄소발자국을 산정하는 등 CBAM 대응을 강화하고 있다. 베트남 철강사들이 유럽 시장에서 경쟁력을 유지하려는 움직임이다.

[India] India’s domestic steel and scrap market saw price increases on Thursday. Sponge iron prices continued to rise due to coal shortages and limited availability. Scrap and steel prices moved up on steady buying interest. In Mandi Gobindgarh, HMS 1&2 (80:20) prices up by 1.05USD/tonne (100INR/tonne) to 381.32USD/tonne (36,400INR/tonne) delivered Mandi. Mumbai HMS 1&2 (80:20) prices up by 1.05USD/tonne (100INR/tonne) to 361.42USD/tonne (34,500INR/tonne) delivered Mumbai. Chennai HMS 1&2 (80:20) rose by 8.38USD/tonne (800INR/tonne) to 338.37USD/tonne (32,300INR/tonne) delivered Chennai.
